Who it's for

Built for small and mid-size teams

  • Landscape architecture firms that need extra production capacity without a new full-time hire.
  • Civil engineering firms that need landscape plans, planting compliance, or landscape-minded grading.
  • Architecture firms with site and landscape scope on their projects.
  • Any team moving to Civil 3D that wants someone who can produce work and teach while doing it.
Why me

Designer, engineer, teacher

  • Licensed landscape architect (PLA) and Engineering Intern (EI), with degrees in landscape architecture and biological engineering from NC State.
  • Fluent in the software firms actually use: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Rhino, Grasshopper, and ArcGIS Pro.
  • Used to explaining my work, so handoffs, markups, and coordination go smoothly.
How it works

Low-risk to start

  1. Intro call

We talk through the project, your standards, the deadline, and how your team works.

  2. Defined first task

Start with a clear, contained scope so you can see the quality and speed for yourself.

  3. Work in your system

Your templates, your file structure, your markup process. No surprises at handoff.

  4. As needed

Bring me in for the next crunch, or set up a regular block of hours.

FAQ

Questions from firms

Do you work remotely?

Yes. Most fractional work happens remotely in your files, your templates, and your communication tools. I'm based in Durham, North Carolina, and can meet in person with firms in the Triangle.

What kinds of firms do you support?

Landscape architecture firms that need extra production capacity, civil engineering firms that need landscape plans or Civil 3D grading help, and architecture firms that need site and landscape scope.

Can you work in our standards and templates?

Yes, that's the point. I'll match your CAD standards, sheet setup, and detailing conventions so the work blends into your set.

Can you seal drawings?

Most fractional engagements are production support under your firm's direction and seal. If you need a licensed landscape architect of record for a project, let's talk about the project and its jurisdiction.

How is the work billed?

Usually hourly or as a fixed fee for a clearly defined scope. We'll agree on scope, budget, and schedule before any work starts.

How much availability do you have?

I take on a limited number of engagements at a time so I can meet deadlines reliably. Reach out early if you can see a crunch coming.

Have a deadline or a busy season coming up?

Tell me about the project, the scope, and the timeline. I'll let you know quickly whether I can help.
